Here's another card I was commissioned to make. This was for the same friend who commissioned Anya's Card but she wanted a card for her son this time. As I have mentioned before, masculine cards tend to be more challenging for me and to add to the mix, she also asked if I could make the card look like a stage since her son likes the arts and is a performer. This is what I came up with.
I used some left over silver paper and embossed it with the Woodgrain impression plate from PTI. I cut out the my main sentiment with a nestabilies die and surrounded it with cut out stars from CTMH's Shining Star stamp set that were embossed with silver embossing powder. The spotlights are stickers that I found at Michaels which I popped up using mounting foam.
She wanted an encouraging sentiment and I loved this one from PTI's Heartfelt Basics. I added a couple more embossed stars to finish it off. I also stamped a couple of stars on the outside of the envelope.
My friend was very happy with my interpretation of her "stage" idea, as was I. I always love a challenge!
