Before Christmas, I was commissioned to make a birthday card for a very special little girl. Her mother and I had a consultation and we discussed her daughter's favorite colors, likes and dislikes, etc. She had seen and liked the easel cards I had made and wanted something that could be displayed so that is the style we decided on and then she told me she trusted my creativity. She is an awesome lady and a good friend and I really wanted to make her and her daughter happy.
I listened to what she told me and tried to use all the elements she mentioned. Her daughter likes pink and brown and gold so I used some retired CTMH paper, gold peel-off stickers from Flower Soft along the edges of the card and PTI's Raspberry Fizz felt for the butterfly. I added a little Flower Soft, also Raspberry Fizz, to the butterfly wings and some chocolate adhesive pearls for the butterfly's body.
I also had some gold Dazzles flower stickers which I accented with adhesive gems.
I added a few Prima flowers here and there to the stamped flourish from CTMH's Dreams Come True stamp set. The sentiments are from PTI's Birthday Basics and Butterfly Dreams.
Both mother and daughter were happy with the final result which made my day.
