In the Pink Challenge #55 - Dots or Stripes

This week at In the Pink the new challenge is to use either dots or stripes or both. Of course, the majority of your card has to be pink.

For my card, I used the adorable Abi from All Dressed Up. She is a freebie and is available on their website or Facebook page. I printed her and colored her with my Copic Markers and then cut her out with a Spellbinders die.

What looks like paper is actually Shape 'N Tape which is an adhesive backed paper that I purchased awhile ago and hoarded for no good reason. It was perfect for this challenge so I dug it out and used it! I added a little glitter to her tutu and some pearls and a flower I found in my stash.

Life is Good

Here's a quick card I made using a digital stamp from All Dressed Up. Her name is Twinkle Toes and she is a freebie on the All Dressed Up Facebook Group page.

I colored her with copics and cut her out using a Spellbinders die. I added a little Frantage around the image and some itty bitty bling to the corner and the middle of her bow. I used a clear glitter pen on her wings. I wasn't going to add a sentiment but this image reminds me of when I got my first pair of two shoes and I remember how happy I was and all was right with the world. This sentiment just fit.

I'm entering this card into the ADU challenge this week which was "Bling it Up".

Girly, You Rock

I made this card for my daughter. She was auditioning for a spot in a local singing talent show along the lines of The Voice and I wanted to give her a little encouragement and try to calm her nerves.

I didn't have a lot of time so I decided to go with a back and white theme and not color the image, except for the headphones. My daughter has a pair of red Beats that she got for Christmas so I colored them red and then added just a little glitter to the heart hairpin.

The piano is a die which attached to the side and then I stamped the sentiment.

I am happy to say that she aced her audition and will be competing with 39 other talented vocalists this summer. HERE is a link to her Facebook Page in case you are interested in following her journey.

Monochrome Abi Ballerina

I found a new challenge where I can put my copic markers to good use. The stamp company is called All Dressed Up and this is one of several really cute images called Abi Ballerina. It happens to be a freebie and can be found HERE.

The challenge was to create a monochromatic card using one of the All Dressed Up images. I have to give credit to my daughter for this one because when I showed her the image I had colored using E41-49, she told me it needed some pink - and she was right! I went over some of the image with R11 and loved the effect.

I stamped sheet music on a piece of cardstock and inked the edges with some Tea Dye ink and added some pink glass glitter in spots. I sponged some of the ink around the edges of my image as well and mounted it onto a die cut and popped it up on my base with some foam dots.
