Digi Choosday - Last Minute Christmas

It's our final challenge for 2014 at Digi Choosday and the theme is Last Minute Christmas Gifts.

For my project I made a bottle tag and a little gift bag using paper, sentiments and the bow from the Festive Hollybobs Collection and from the pre-colored Winston Bear Celebrate from the Winston Deluxe Full Collection. This image is also available uncolored seperately HERE.

I printed several three of the bear images and cut out different parts of the bear and added some dimensional foam. I also added some glitter to their champagne glasses and to her pearls. On the gift bag, I added some stickles along the edges for added sparkle. You'll notice the bow was printed in two different sizes and then cut out and I added an added an adhesive-backed gem to the center for some holiday sparkle.

Be sure to check out the Digi Choosday Blog for more great ideas from the DT Team and to leave a link to your project for your chance at winning. We'll be back in the New Year with more great projects for you.

Entered in the following Challenges:
Creative Card Crew - Anything Goes
Holly Jolly Christmas Challenge - Anything Goes
Through The Craftroom Door - Anything Goes
Tuesday Throwdown - Christmas
Creative Colors - Vintage Green,  Deep Red, White and Glitter

April Heartfelt Creations Alumni DT Hop

Welcome to the March Heartfelt Creations Alumni DT Blog Hop! Be sure to comment along the way in order to be eligible to win the $25 gift certificate to the Heartfelt Creations Store. There is a list of all the participants at the bottom of the post so make sure you visit all the blogs for a better chance at winning. Comments close at midnight on Friday, May 2, 2014 and a random winner will be announced on Saturday, May 3rd at noon.

This month I decided to make a little gift box for a friend. I used the Decorative Flower Pot die and cut a front and a back and used a strip of cardstock to make the box. I stamped and cut the flowers from the Sunkissed Fleur stamp and die collection. I used a variety of Distress Paints, Glimmer Mist and Silks Acrylic paints to color the flowers. The centers were done with a pearl pen and I edged the petals with Diamond Stickles.

I also stamped the leaf pattern onto the tissue paper to tie everything together. I stamped and cut the sentiment using the included tag dies.

This box could hold some candy or nuts or even a small hand lotion. It's also perfect for a couple of seed packets for Mother's Day.

Don't forget to leave a comment here and on the other designers' blogs in order to be eligible for the $25 Heartfelt Creations gift certificate. Once again, you have until midnight Friday, May 2, 2014. You're next stop is Glenda's Blog. You're going to love what she created!

Flower Soft - Santa Bottle Tag

This week I wanted to show you a project I created with the Santa and Pals stamp set from Flower Soft.

This set is so fun and I decided to use it to make a bottle tag. I cut the tag with a die and also cut an extra piece that I ran through the cuttlebug using a Sizzix bricks embossing folder. I rubbed Fired Brick and Vintage Photo distress inks over the embossing. I stamped and colored the Santa image with my copics and then cut him out. I then added some Ultra Fine White Flower Soft to his hat, beard and cuffs for some added texture. I cut a strip of dark grey cardstock and attached it to the top, glued Santa behind it and popped the panel up on the bottle tag.

Can't you just imagine Santa, after a long night of delivering gifts, emerging from the last chimney with a drink? I can.

As always, please be sure to check out the Flower Soft Facebook page for more inspiration.

Mixed Media Altered Box

I have a mixed media project to share with you today. I bought this little wooden box at the local craft store for $1 so I knew I wasn't going to be too upset if what I planned didn't work out.

I started by painting the inside and outside of the box with a couple different colors of the Silk Acrylic Glazes I recently acquired at the CK Convention. I stamped and added some die cuts from K & Company and then added some texture with modeling paste and a little cheese cloth.

I added a piece of patterned paper to the inside of the box and went
over it with some iridescent gel medium. I added some lace that I colored with glimmer mist along the edge of the lid.

My final touch was the flat-backed pearls and a dragonfly die cut.

I didn't really keep a list of all the products I used and the stamps came from various classes I have taken over the last couple years at CKC. Please feel free to email me if you have any questions (cibglazer[at]gmail[dot]com).

If you follow my blog, I'm sure you know who walked away with this little beauty...yup, my daughter.

Flower Soft - Little Birdie Hexi Box

I have a cute project for you today using Flower Soft's Little Birdie Toppers. They are Spellbinders compatible and come in cream and white. I used the cream here and cut it with the Hexagon Nestabilities. I also added a little butterfly from the Summer Die Cut Paper Flowers Collection.

To make the box, simply trace two of the largest Hexagon die and cut it out. Then cut a piece of cardstock to 2.5" x 6.75" and score at 2.25" from each end on the long side and .25" from each end on the short side. Cut the short score lines and adhere to the inside along three sides of the Hexagon using a strong tape. I used Scor-tape here.

I edged all of my cardstock with gold ink and also ran the ink along the top of the honeycomb embossing and the edges of my tissue paper.

Be sure to check out the Flower Soft Blog and Facebook Page for more inspiration using these toppers and your chance to win them!

Heartfelt Creations - Grateful Gift Bag

Happy Wednesday! I have another Heartfelt Creations project for you today using the newest Sunny Day Collection.

I followed the instructions in a tutorial found HERE to make the little gift bag.  It uses only one sheet of 8.5" x 11" cardstock. I was careful to cut the patterned paper so I would have the design at the top of my bag. Also, I used adhesive to keep the box together and punched holes all the way through at the top and finished them with eyelets as reinforcement for my ribbon.

I stamped my butterfly and then colored it with copics and then added a little glitter using the Viva Decor Hologram pen.

This little bag is so easy to make and can hold a couple of candies or even tea lights. It would make the perfect hostess gift or party favor.

Be sure to check out the Heartfelt Creations Blog to see what the ladies made this week.  You will not be disappointed.

Heartfelt Creations - Old English Tea Holder

I have a cute little project to show you today.  I found the tutorial for this adorable tea bag holder on Splitcoast and knew it would be perfect paired with the Heartfelt Creations China Fragments stamp set.

I used the Spellbinders Nested Tea Cups dies to cut out the largest image from the stamp set and colored it in with my copics and then sponged along the edges with Tea Dye Duo ink to give it an aged look.  I added tiny pearls to the centers of some of the flowers and used my Sakura clear glitter pen on the others. Below you will see what the inside looks like.  I left plenty of space on the back panel for a handwritten message.

I hope you will check out the Heartfelt Creations Blog for more inspiration and be sure to check back next week for the next beautiful release. I guarantee that if you liked the Old English Garden Collection, you are going to LOVE the new Garden Romance Collection.

One last piece of news - Heartfelt Creations will be at the Convention Center in Oaks, PA for the StampScrapArtTour and I will be working in the booth so if you're there, please stop by and say hello.
