I have a graduation card for a special girl to show you today.
One of my daughter's best friends is graduating from the 8th grade which, if you go to Catholic school, is a big deal. Her mother commissioned me to make a special card. I found this image from Saturated Canary and colored it with Copics in the school colors of blue and white. I also used my copics to color one of the paper flowers and then added some stickles to the petals.
I used one of the Spellbinders Deckled Rectangle dies to cut out the "diploma" with her daughter's
name and sponged along the edges and rolled it. The butterfly is also a Spellbinders die that I embossed with a little Frontage and also dsitressed with some ink.
I gave my friend a couple of choices for the sentiment and this is the one she and her husband chose. Of course I had to add a little bling along the side borders and I made it an easel card so she can display it. There is an area underneath that I left blank so she can write a personal message to her daughter.
Our daughters are in the same band together and love to "rock" out so I also made a tag. Stop by tomorrow to see how that came out.
