Today, I am featuring the Flower Soft Snow Globes and I thought I would make an ornament for the Christmas Tree. I love the vintage look of this!

images and I simply cut them out with an oval die and popped it up on an oval base that was cut to the same size as my globe. I edged the images in gold ink, cut the "Peace" scroll from the included sheet and added some bling. I did this on both sides of the base and the glued two globed back-to-back over the whole thing.

To hide the glue, I attached some cream lace along the edges of the globe using some scor-tape and then used my gold Wink of Stella pen to add some glitter along the edge of the lace.
I used a hole punch at the top so that I could add some gold cording for a hanger.
You could also use one Display Globe and leave the other side flat to create a beautiful tag for a special gift that could then be hung on the tree. I hope I sparked some ideas and you will give these a try.

Oooo, so pretty! So the globes are convex (they almost look like there is a depression in the middle of them but the more I look at it, I think it's a shadow!). I love this idea - your beautiful art would be preserved inside the ornament and every year you would bring out the treasure to enjoy for a limited time. I don't know about you, but I just delight in seeing my "ornament friends" each year! LOL
ReplyDeleteExcellent work Cibele - love it!
