Heartfelt Creations - Pickin' Pumpkins

This month, Heartfelt Creations is delighted to release their very first line of patterned paper. Check out the beautiful patterns, luscious colors, and organic textures. Some come with stamp images in them; others are abstract. This will add some fun and variety to your creations!

The Classic Edition Collection stamp sets and die release is geared towards the fall season and colder days. A rustic truck, wooden wagon, playful dog, berries, apples, and pumpkins will keep you busy creating as the sun begins disappearing earlier in the evenings. Our card and layout samples will give you many ideas to get your creative juices flowing. For my project this week, I made a fun Fall card.  Every year, we go to a local farm that actually has little wagons for you to use when you pick your pumpkins.  I thought I would recreate a little scene using the stamps and die collection from the new release and I absolutely love how this card turned out.

I stamped, colored and cut out the wagon and pumpkins.  To make it look more realistic, I cut a slit in the top of the wagon and arranged my pumpkins "inside".  (I used this same technique for last month's mailbox and the little letter.)  I had recently purchased the Pumpkin Patch embossing folder from the Tim Holtz line and I thought it would be the perfect addition.  After I embossed the patterned paper, I sponged some ink over the raised portions.  I have to say that the quality of the new Heartfelt Creations paper is awesome.  I was able to emboss with no tearing which can easily happen with lesser quality papers.
