Flower Soft/Penny Black Blog Hop

Today, the Flower Soft and Penny Black Design Teams are ringing in the New Year with a special blog hop featuring artwork using Penny Black stamps and Flower Soft.  If this is your first stop, you’ll want to go back to the Penny Black Blog so you don’t miss anything and don’t forget to leave comments on each of the blogs you visit because 3 random comments will one of the brand new 2012 Penny Black Valentine stamps.   There’s also a Grand Prize for someone who uses one of the Penny Black Designer’s Blog Hop projects as inspiration and creates a new Penny Black stamped project.  You can get all the details on the Penny Black Blog.  Flower Soft is also giving a prize to 3 random comments.  Winners will receive 3 pots of Flower Soft, one each of Poppy Red, Peony Pink and Polar White along with a bottle of Flower Soft glue!

For my project, I used the adorable Mimi in Paris stamp set from Penny Black to create a Valentine card.  Isn’t she just so cute?  I stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then colored her with copics.  I used an oval nestabilities to cut out the image and then matted with Penny Black cardstock cut using the largest of the Beaded Oval dies.  I added glitter to her wings and then used Neon Pink Ultra Fine Flower Soft for the flower in her hair and also for the little heart I cut out with a Martha Stewart punch.

The cardstock base is also from Penny Black and is wonderful to work with.  One side has a color and the other is white so it’s perfect for cardmaking.

Here’s a list of all the participants in today’s hop

Cibele Glazer, Flower Soft (You Are Here)

Copic markers - RV21, RV23, R000, R00, YR20, YR23, YR24, C2
