This week my daughter was at riding camp and one night was a sleepover so my DH asked me out on a date. They recently opened a Movie Tavern in the next town so he asked me to the movies. If you haven't heard of the Movie Tavern, it's a movie house that serves real food while you watch a movie...the ultimate dinner and a movie. I thought I was in for a night of either rampaging apes or freaky aliens, but he surprised me and took me to see The Help, which I would characterize as a "chick flick". Anyway, to make a long story short, I wanted to show him my gratitude so I made this card. Isn't it great when life and people inspire you?!
This card is my take on the CAS-ual Friday Challenge this week which uses a sketch from Clean & Simple Stamping.
I stamped the bamboo image from PTI's Peaceful Garden onto a piece of Kraft cardstock I die cut with one of the Half & Half dies. The Dark Chocolate cardstock was run through the cuttlebug with a Sizzix folder and both pieces were mounted onto a Rustic Cream card base. I love these textures together.
On a personal note, I am grateful to have such a wonderful husband. And if you're wondering, The Help was a fantastic movie. It was almost as good as the book.
