Happy Monday morning to you. This weekend I decided to finally try a technique that has been on my "to do" list for a long time - Acrylic Smashing. The how-to can be found HERE on SCS. I followed this weeks CPS 213 Sketch and came up with this card. Here's a picture of the sketch:
CPS #213 |
I used two colors of blue acrylic paint for the sky and two colors of green for the trees and ground. The acetate is actually a recycled carrier sheet from a PTI stamp set (I save everything). I added pressed leaves to the patterned paper for some added interest.
This technique is so easy and so much fun, I made another card which I will share with you later this week.
Products Used:
Stamp Sets - PTI Through the Trees and Daily Designs
Cardstock - PTI Ripe Avocado and Fine Linen
PTI Pacific Vineyard patterned paper
Ink - Black Stazon, Walnut Stain and Vintage Photo Distress Inks
Nestabilities dies
PTI Woodgrain impression plate
Acetate sheet

Beautiful card - I saw this one on the Make It Monday Linkies. Trees are one of my favourite images to stamp with and I love the look of this technique. I have made a note to try it out soon.
