There was a time, not long ago, when my daughter was very into ballet. But alas we have now moved on to the hip hop era and apparently pink in no longer cool but black or purple is "it" color. Oh well, I still like pink and it also happens to be this week's Flower Soft Sprinkle challenge over at Splitcoast (FSC06). I hope you'll join me and the rest of the participating Design Team members and show us your pink creations. You can find the details HERE.
For this card I stamped my image from CTMH's Dancing Dreams (retired) in Memento Rich Cocoa and colored it with my copics and then used nestabilities to cut and emboss it. To add dimension to the skirt I used Babty Pink Flower Soft.
To make the background paper I used stamped one of the butterflies from PTI's Butterfly Dreams SS in Versamark and the embossed with Tattered Rose Distresses embossing powder from the Tim Holtz line. It's a little different from regular EP in that you rub a bit off after it cools and it had a very rough texture. It really compliments the flower soft on the card.

This is just so sweet and pretty! LOVE all the pink too.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like my grandaughter (age 10). I asked what she wanted for her birthday and she said - ANYTHING as long as it's NOT PINK!
LOL. Maybe when she gets a little older she'll like pink again.
Love you card.
