Are these not the most adorable treats?!?! I found them on the site HowDoesShe? and as soon as I saw them, I knew I had to make them for my daughter's Halloween party this year. I was fortunate enough to be picked as homeroom mom again and it's always a challenge to come up with something new to delight the kids with and this was perfect. The best part...my daughter was able to help!
We bought the vanilla oreos, opened them up, added the sucker stick and then dipped them in the vanilla candy coating (you can also use white chocolate). My daughter then put the royal icing eyes on (which I ordered from Sweet! at an awesome price) and we waited until the coating dried before drizzling the "bandages" on.
I had to make 25 for her class and some extra for a small group of girls she is having over on Sunday before they go trick-or-treating. My friend Lisa, the other homeroom mom, picked up the buckets at Target and we filled each with a little pretzel bag, a halloween pencil, a Hershey nugget (pictured above), an activity book and a small spider toy. Hope they like them.
I used PTI's 2009 Halloween Tags stamp set to make the tags and the nugget covers.
Happy Halloween everyone!
Oh my Cibele, this is so amazing! I love the mummy treats - you make it sound so easy, but that's hard to believe - they look absolutely fabulous!!! Nice work!
ReplyDeleteOh Cibele these are so wonderful, I bet the kiddos were dying to sink their teeth into them!
