I taught a class last week and this is one of the projects we did. My ladies really enjoy making boxes and they absolutely loved this one I came up with. You may remember it from the one I made for my daughter for Valentines Day seen HERE. It has four drawers and holds 8 Hershey nuggets or you could subsitute other small items instead.
We used CTMH Veranda B&T papers which are my favorite from this idea book. We also used the So Sweet stamp set with Chocolate, Juniper and Creme Brulee ink for the stamped image which we then cut using a nestabilities die.
We punched the butterfly using a Martha Stewart punch from paper I made using alcohol inks and glossy cardstock the night before and added tiny adhesive pearls for the body.
These boxes make a great hostess, birthday or just because gift. The best part is that they can be used even after the candy is all gone, which in my case is usually pretty quickly.
For those of you interested, the instructions for this project are available at Alex's Attic.
This is just stunning! I so appreciate your generosity now if I can keep candy in house long enough to try this.
