I was asked to teach a class to a dear friend's daughter and her friends for her birthday party last night. The birthday girl loves the brown and pink color combination so I designed a class with that in mind. We made a triangle box filled with Hershey kisses which I am also doing for Stamp Camp next week. (I will post the picture then so I can keep my campers surprised.) We also made this beautiful card with the birthday girl's favorite color combo.
I wanted to do something special for the birthday girl since I have known her for a long time and she is such a wonderful, caring person. I came up with this compliment box (Oprah and my daughter's teacher were the source of this idea).
The inside of the box has the following quote from Eleanor Roosevelt: "The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of of their dreams."
Each girl at the party and both her parents filled out these cards with compliments for the birthday girl, creating a wonderful keepsake of the event. Even the birthday girl had to write something she liked about herself!
A birthday party is never complete without favors so I also made the nugget purses

HERE in an earlier post for each of the girls. We also made one other little favor that I will post next Sunday as well since it is part of Stamp Camp.
I have to say, the girls last night were AWESOME and did a spectacular job!
