Post-it Note Book

This is the 3-D project we created in our Embossing Class on Thursday. The ladies really loved this one. One side holds a post-it note pad and the other has decorated pages for pictures or notes. The ladies embossed their initial on the front cover in Copper EP.

Embossing Class

I held an embossing class with a wonderful group of ladies. Two of the projects are shown below. One of the cards (not shown) is a gift card using next month's Stamp of the Month, Tender Tags, which I will post on June 1 for the Stamp of the Month Blog Hop. It will make a perfect teacher or graduation gift so check back. I will post the 3-D project we did this weekend.

This For You card is an example of using a sponging tool to "pop out" a clear embossed image. We stamped the flower onto Colonial White cardstock and then shaded around the flower using Taffy and Sorbet ink.

The Aspiration card is an asian themed card on which they embossed the flowers with Red Dragon EP and the sentiment in Black EP. I used nestabilities dies to pre-cut the ovals.

Summer Flower Arrangements

Stamp Camp
With summer quickly approaching, I realize that many of you will be sending your children to camps or going on much needed family vacations. Therefore, Stamp Camp will resume in September with many more great projects for the kids. I want to thank all the kids for making Stamp Camp such a success and so much fun this year. I am looking forward to seeing you all again in September.

Classes and Workshops
Now for the adults... I am planning a couple workshops/classes for the summer months but I am always available to do a gathering or class for you and a group of friends at a time that is convenient for you. For June's class we will be making a beautiful card folder with matching cards and another 3-D item which holds 3 x 3 Thank You notes. I am not sure where I saw a similar card which was the inspiration behind this one. I love the Kanji Phrases stamp set and this color combination (Black, Cranberry and Colonial White cardstock). I got a new embossing powder called Red Dragon and the card just came together. The symbol means "Much Happiness".

I love black and red together and I got a new border punch that I wanted to try out so....voila! I used a large black eyelet and a crystal brad to make the center for the red flower. I also added red glitter to the hat and jacket using a two-way glue pen. Hope you like it.

Mother's Day Card

This is the Mother's Day card I made for my Mother-in-Law. I stamped the sentiment in Juniper ink and then went over it with clear embossing powder which gives it a nice sheen. Unfortunately, this is hard to capture with a camera. I also used a glue pen to add glitter to the flowers. I hope she likes it.

One of a Kind - May Stamp of the Month

This card is dedicated to my mom who was not only a great mother, but also my best friend and I really miss her. She was truly one of a kind!

This card uses Be Yourself (May's Stamp of the Month). I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder on the Black cardstock and then sanded. Since CTMH cardstock has a white core, this gives the effect of raised white dots on a black background and adds texture to your cards.
