January Flower Arrangements

It's hard to believe another year is almost over. No fear! I have some great things planned for 2009. The kids will not want to miss any of the projects planned for Stamp Camp and the adults will also want to participate in fun and creative workshops. There will also be several Girls' Night crops throughout the year and if you would like to host your own Girls' Night gathering, feel free to contact me. Some of you may wish to start a Hostess Club this year and get together with your friends once a month to create projects and learn new techniques. If so, please email me at cibglazer@gmail.com for more information.

So let's get started. The following classes and workshops are what I have planned for January. Hope to see you!

'Twas the Night Before Christmas

' Twas the night before Christmas, I'm glued to the tree.
I'm wondering what Santa brought just for me.
Could it be cardstock or chipboard or lace?
Or a Cricut, I said, with a smile on my face.
And that's when I heard him, "Hi Santa, " I said
"You know....good little girls should be in their beds."
"I know I should Santa, and now I've got caught.
But I was just so excited to see what you brought."
"Well, let's take a look in this room where you work.
He shook his head quickly and left with a jerk.
I heard him exclaim as he put it in gear.
"You've got enough crap, I'll see you next year!"

(NOTE: I cannot take credit for this poem and I don't know who to give credit to. I found it on a website with Christmas poems.)

Paper Wreaths

Here are two oragami wreaths I made with the Evensong Creative Basics paper. Of course I added some bling. These wreaths require no adhesive and are very easy to make. Special thanks to Beth (again) who showed me how to make the larger one.

Quick and Easy Christmas Card

Here is a quick and easy card I created for my daughter's hip hop teachers. I used the Evergreen stamp set and New England Ivy and Cranberry ink. The card base is Colonial White and the matt is New Engldand Ivy. I distressed the edges of my stamped image with the New England Ivy and of course I added a little bling to the top of the tree. I left the inside blank for my daughter to write a note of thanks to her teachers. The inspiration for this card came from my friend Beth who did such a wonderful job on her Christmas cards.

December Stamp Camp

The girls at Stamp Camp did a great job! We made a penguin magnet, a "Frosty" card and a snowflake bookmark. We also celebrated Corryn's birthday. Sign up for my newsletter "Flower Power" to get updates on future stamp camps.

Snowman Poop

Yet another project in my snowman theme. Once again I used the Snow Friends stamp set, colored, and embellished with a little glitter. My daughter helped me fill the bags with marshmallows (after she washed her hands of course). These are also for the vendor fair but I have had some requests from friends for a few more. NOTE: These were a HUGE hit last night and we sold out of them so I am making more today!

Snowman Kisses

Here's another project I wanted to try ever since I saw these on my friend Beth's website last year. They are Tic Tac holders. The poem on the inside reads: "He's cute, cuddly, & full of good wishes. He wants to give you these snowman kisses!" I used the Snow Friends stamp set, added color with some pencils and then added a little glitter to the snowballs and the snowman's hat. I used a circle punch on the snowman's belly so you can see the mints.

Orna"Mints"

I saw this idea somewhere and decided to give it a try for a craft show this weekend. I used a scallop punch, circle punch and some Christmas stamps to create these peppermint patty covers that can be hung on a tree or used as tags for gifts. I embossed half the snowflakes in gold and the other half in silver.
