Triangle Treat Box

Everyday I write my daughter a note and put it into her lunch box. Nothing big, just an encouraging word or something funny. Recently, I started making little surprises which she absolutely loves. I made this one from some scraps and filled it with three candy corns...just in time for Halloween tomorrow.

Halloween Spooktacular

Our annual Halloween party was a success. We had a "pumpkin patch" where the kids were able to pick pumpkins to decorate with stick-on foam faces.

My husband outdid himself in creating a spooky but not too scary setting for the party in our basement.

He was also responsible for the "finger food" (string cheese with green peppers) which were a big hit with the little ghouls. I found these adorable cupcake toppers at AC Moore.

The girls loved the little treat bags and the party favors. Happy Halloween everyone!

Open House

I want to thank all the ladies who came to my Open House and made it such a success. What a talented group! We made this gift card holder - perfect for a teacher or friend for the holidays. The paper is CTMH Evensong Creative Basics and we used the Christmas tree from the Magical Seasons stamp set. I added red crystals to jazz the card up a little. Everything's better with a little bling!

Halloween Treats

My daughter's 4th Annual Halloween Costume party is tomorrow and I made these little favors. I used my cricut to cut the base CS, the spider and the spider web. I added pom poms and google eyes to complete the spider and filled the bags with mini M&Ms.

2nd Grade Political Humor

It's really funny what kids pick up from the world around them. This is my daughter's take on one of the VP candidates in this year's election (can you tell we watch a lot of election coverage). As a disclaimer, I do have to tell you that she is an Obama fan although that hasn't stopped her from running around the house saying the word "maverick".

Whooo Loves You

Since my daughter started 1st grade, I have been putting little notes in her lunch box on the days that she packs. Just a little reminder for her to know she is loved, to offer some encouragment for a test, and now to give her a special treat. She loves the little Dove chocolates so I find myself making her these peek-a-boo treat cards and putting them in her lunch. I usually use scraps of paper and just stamp an image or saying on them. The first time she found one of these in her lunch she was so excited when she came home and gave me a big hug and kiss. This one uses the new Whooo Loves You stamp set.

Altered Composition Book

I was strolling through Costco and saw a pack of these composition books so I decided to try my hand at altering. This one uses some of the remnants from my Silhouette Box. I used the Cricut to cut the letters (Alphalicious cart).
