Over at SCS, a wonderful artists is being celebrated as the Featured Stamper this week. If you spend anytime over there I am sure you "know" Lydia Fielder (a.k.a. Understandblue). She is the Community Manager at Splitcoast, she is a wealth of information for both the newbie and the seasoned crafter and she always has an encouraging word. In addition to being the recipient of such encouragement, I am also an admirer of her work. If you aren't familiar with it, please check out her Gallery. I knew exactly which card I wanted to recreate. I had seen this card on her blog this summer and loved the way she used the embossing folder. For my card, I changed the orientation to landscape and used a black mat. I loved the stamp set she used but alas, did not own it so I went to my stamps and found these toppers for the picnic baskets in PTI's Vintage Picnic stamp set. I stamped the daisies along the bottom of the card and colored in with copics. I then added the sentiment from Up, Up & Away. I loved the design so much that I made another using the tulips.
I can't think of a person more deserving of this honor and if you read this Lydia, thank you for always having a kind word and being so supportive.
