Moosing You - Sugar Sketch 15

Today I am showing you my first project as a Project Pea Designer for this week's Sugar Sketch. I can't tell you how excited I am to be a part of this team and to showcase these adorable stamps and dies!

I used the brand new Merry Christmoose stamp set from the Holiday 2014 release which is available right now in the Sugar Pea Store. I stamped my image and colored it with copic markers and then used the little heart die from the Layered Treat Label die set to cut out several hearts in coordinating patterned paper.

I am so excited to be a part of this team because I love these stamps and I am thrilled that Wendy has now added dies!

Now it's your turn to join in the fun and here are the details:

You can play along with any stamp you like - but if you use SugarPea Designs, we'll top your voucher up to $15!

Feel free to rotate/flip the sketch, or exchange any shapes for what works with your design, just make sure the sketch is recognizable!

Combine our sketch with any other challenge(s) (except another sketch!)
Upload to your blog or other online gallery using keyword: SPDSS15
so that we may check out your beautiful work.

Add your link to the linkup on the SugarPea Blog. You'll find our current challenges on the sidebar.

Feeling Wicked - The Stamping Chef Challenge #53

Halloween is in a couple of days and I am definitely feeling the spirit. It's also time for another Anything Goes Challenge at The Stamping Chef and I am hoping you will all play along.

I used Broomstick Bella for my card. Isn't she cute? I played around with skin color to give her a bit of a translucent green palor and I love the way it came out. If you like the color combo, be sure to check out the copic key below.

After I colored her, I cut out the image and did some second generation stamping along the edges and then sponged a little grey ink. I had some textured shiny paper in my stash for the spider and the bats and I added some gems for sparkle.

Okay now it's your turn to show me what you've got cookin'.

Rock On - The Stamping Chef Challenge #41

This is my first post as a Sous Chef DT member for the The Stamping Chef. Each week we host an Anything Goes Challenge with a chance to win 3 fabulous digi images. You do not have to use a TSC image to enter the challenge but if you do, you are entered twice for your chance to win. For a complete list of the rules, please visit the TSC Challenge Blog.

For my card, I used Terri. Isn't she adorable! I printed her and colored her with my copics and then cut her out with a Spellbinders die and mounted her onto my card base. The sentiment is from a retired CTMH stamp set. I added some Prima flowers and a little bling.

Below is the copic color key for this project. Feel free to pin it to your Pinterest board. I have started a specific board for my TSC projects which can be found HERE. I also have a board dedicated to all my copic projects HERE in case you need some color combo/ideas.

Now it's your turn. I would love to see what you've got cookin'.

Life is Good

Here's a quick card I made using a digital stamp from All Dressed Up. Her name is Twinkle Toes and she is a freebie on the All Dressed Up Facebook Group page.

I colored her with copics and cut her out using a Spellbinders die. I added a little Frantage around the image and some itty bitty bling to the corner and the middle of her bow. I used a clear glitter pen on her wings. I wasn't going to add a sentiment but this image reminds me of when I got my first pair of two shoes and I remember how happy I was and all was right with the world. This sentiment just fit.

I'm entering this card into the ADU challenge this week which was "Bling it Up".

Much Happiness

This is a card using another wonderful image from Mitzi (Aurora Wings). I am entering it into the Anything Goes Challenge and the Birthday Challenge on the Facebook Group Page. This image reminds me of Spring and the Cherry Blossoms.

I printed and colored the image with copic markers and then created a frame using two Spellbinders dies. I ran the top panel through my cuttlebug using a linen Impression Plate and I fussy cut the Kanji symbol for "much happiness". I colored the background with a light and dark blue Twinkling H2Os. I also added a tiny adhesive sparkle to the flowers in her hair.

Although I originally made this as a birthday card, I think I will give this one to my husband as a "just because" card. Not too long ago he had taken a business trip to Japan and he really enjoyed the people and culture.

You Rock

Today I have a card I made for one of my daughter's friends. They both perform in a band that plays at local venues and this weekend they celebrated her 13th birthday. She plays a mean guitar and is very into classic rock but she is also not a girly girl so pink and glitter was not going to work this time around.

I actually used various distress inks to make the background and then sprayed a little water over it for a mottled look. I then lightly stamped some sheet music and inked the edges. The focal image was made with clear embossing powder and then I sponged some more distress ink around the embossed image.

I was a bit worried that it would look masculine because of the colors I chose, but since I kept it on the lighter side, I think it works perfectly for a young lady.

I am on a major coloring kick lately and if you follow me on Instagram, you know that I have discovered some amazing images to color from Mitzi Sato-Wiuff. This is one of hers and I will be entering it into the Anything Goes Challenge on her new Aurora Wings Challenge Blog. She also has a Shades of Green Challenge on her Facebook page and I thought I would enter this in both.

I printed the image and colored with copics and then added some green glitter to a couple areas around her head. I cut the image with a Spellbinders die and mounted onto another Spellbinders die cut using dimensionals and then onto my card base.

I hope you will check out some of her images. I will warn you ahead of time that they are not easy to color but for me, I get such a sense of satisfaction when I finish.

Sweet 16 Mini Album

This week, one of my best friend's daughter turns 16. We attended her Sweet 16 party this past weekend and it was wonderful. She is an amazing young lady who is definitely going places. I wanted to make her something special to help her remember her day, so I created another one of these mini albums from file folders.

It's very hard to take decent pictures of these albums, so I made a short video showing you the pages. The paper is called Union Square from the Michael's Recollection line. To achieve the aged look on the frame, I used some acrylic paint and Silks glaze.

I did not keep a supply list, but if you have any questions on the products I used, feel free to send me an email at cibglazer (at) gmail (dot) com and I will provide an answer. Some of the flowers were created using Heartfelt Creations stamps and coordinating dies. The bling and chipboard pieces are from Want2Scrap and I also used various Papertrey Ink stamps and dies, as well as some Close to My Heart stamps.

I am no longer able to find the video tutorial for this project. It was pulled sometime after I made the first album so all I have are the instructions I wrote down when making the first album.

I don't know about where you are, but here in the Northeast we have been slammed with snow and ice, causing a lot of snow days for the kids. Although it is very pretty, it makes it hard to get a lot of creative time with kids under foot.

Here's a valentine I managed to make with the You and Me digital stamp from Tiddly Inks. The image was colored with copics. I went pretty CAS with this one because I'm going to give it to my hubby and I didn't think he would appreciate a ton of glitter or bling.

I used an MFT die for the hearts down the side. The sentiment is from a retired CTMH set.

It's been awhile since I did a challenge, but this card fits this week's Tiddly Inks Love is in the Air Challenge. Are you making any Valentine's Day cards/projects?

Simple Thank You

Today I have a super simple Thank You card for you. I subscribe to Andrea Walford's Paper Crafter's Library email and I saw a super simple card that was easily mass produced and I needed something like this for my daughter's birthday thank you cards. Unfortunately, I did not save the email but suffice it to say that except for the stamps and colors I used, the cards are almost identical.

I used one of the Impression Obsession Cover-a-Card stamps for my background in my daughter's favorite color. I cut a fishtail banner and stamped my sentiment and then added a purple gem. This design is so easy and I know I will be using it again in the future whenever I need a lot of cards quickly.

Age is a Number...

I went to a birthday party this weekend for a dear friend who is turning 50 this year and her husband is turning 60. It was a fabulous party and they are a super couple who don't show their age at all!

They didn't want gifts so I made this simple card to celebrate the day. I cut the numbers from patterned paper and the Kraft cardstock was run through the cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots folder to play off the dotted paper. The inside says "...yours will remain unlisted." It's a fun sentiment set from Close to My Heart.

Hope you had a fun weekend.

Flower Soft - God Bless America

This week, the Flower Soft Design Team is highlighting The Patriot. Be sure to check out the Flower Soft Facebook Page and the Blog to see what the other ladies have made using this wonderful Flower Soft mix.

For my project, I cut a couple chevrons from from the Kool Tak Punch Sheet and applied it to my card panel. I then stamped my sentiment and colored the stars, then I peeled off the paper backing and applied my Flower Soft, pressed it into the adhesive and then sprinkled with a little navy glitter - super simple with lots of impact.
