Flower Soft Vintage Christmas Moments

Here's a card I made awhile ago but never posted.

I simply embossed a piece of cream cardstock, stamped a sentiment and then put it together.  It doesn't get much easier than that.

This card was so simple to make and I love the CAS look. The Flower Soft card toppers make it so easy. These are the Christmas Vintage Toppers.

Be sure to check out the Flower Soft Blog and Facebook Page for updates on newly released and retiring products.

Flower Soft Foxy Christmas

Here is a super simple card I made using the Winter Animals Design Set from Flower Soft.

I simply cut the topper and mounted it onto my card base that I had already edged with a silver paint pen. I then added some Polar White Flower Soft to the tree. I splattered a little white paint onto the piece to mimic falling snow. I then cut the sentiment from the same page of the kit using a Spellbinders die and mounted that onto a piece of cardstock I cut with the next larger die. I again used my silver paint pen along the edges and popped the whole thing up with dimensionals. Super quick and easy with some fun dimension but it's not too bulky to mail.

Flower Soft Winter Scene Merry Christmas

Today I have another quick and easy card to show you.

This time I used the Winter Country Scenes topper which I trimmed to mount on my card base. I stamped the sentiment directly onto the topper in black ink and then I used a snowflake border punch to cut out some glittered snowflakes which I adhered randomly onto the card.  Super simple!

As for the sentiment, you could easily substitute and use some Versamark and either gold or silver embossing powder for a little more glitz. To add extra dimension, sprinkle some Polar White Flower Soft throughout the tree. There are many options with these design sets.

Flower Soft - Santa Toppers

With the holidays fast approaching, you may be looking for cards that are quick and easy and can be done at the last minute. If this is the case, you are in luck because today I am highlighting the Flower Soft Santa Toppers. They come in packs of 6 (3 each of 2 designs) and they are already cut to the perfect A2 size to leave a little border around the image on your card base.

I used the Santas from 2 different packs and the Christmas Blessings stamp set to create these cards. I simply stamped my sentiments onto the preprinted image in Versamark ink and heat embossed with gold embossing powder. After I adhered the topper to my card base, I went around the edges with a gold paint pen. How easy is that? You could do this with all 6 cards in the pack and you would have a cute set to give as a gift or to send yourself.

I hope you'll give it a try.

Flower Soft Shaker Tag

Today I have a shaker tag to show you using the new Winter Animals Design Set from Flower Soft.

I cut the tag using two different Spellbinders dies and then embossed the cardstock with the Darice Snowflakes folder. I edged it with white ink and also added a little glitter to the raised snowflakes with my Wink of Stella pen. I added tiny rhinestones to their centers as well. I used Polar White Flower Soft for my filler.

This is a fairly big tag but could also be used as a card front if you prefer or even an ornament for the tree.

Flower Soft Snow Globe Ornament

Today, I am featuring the Flower Soft Snow Globes and I thought I would make an ornament for the Christmas Tree. I love the vintage look of this!

I used the Flower Soft Spellbinders Vintage Christmas kit for my
images and I simply cut them out with an oval die and popped it up on an oval base that was cut to the same size as my globe. I edged the images in gold ink, cut the "Peace" scroll from the included sheet and added some bling.  I did this on both sides of the base and the glued two globed back-to-back over the whole thing.

To hide the glue, I attached some cream lace along the edges of the globe using some scor-tape and then used my gold Wink of Stella pen to add some glitter along the edge of the lace.

I used a hole punch at the top so that I could add some gold cording for a hanger.

You could also use one Display Globe and leave the other side flat to create a beautiful tag for a special gift that could then be hung on the tree. I hope I sparked some ideas and you will give these a try.

I used the Peachy Keen small Tubular Snowman for my card. I stamped him, colored him with copics and then fussy cut the image. I used one of the pages from the Winter Wonderland Card Creator kit for my background and dabbed a little bit of Picket Fence paint onto it to simulate snow.

I cut a couple of snowdrifts from white glitter felt and attached it to the bottom of my card and then tucked my snowman in between. I added a little Polar White Flower Soft to his hat for some added dimension. The sentiment was cut out from the same page on of the Card Creator kit.

Now you are off to see some amazing artwork from Janice.

Flower Soft - Morning Tea

This week, the Flower Soft Design Team is showing you ways to use our card toppers.  For my project today I chose to use the Recipes for Break Time Beverages card toppers to create a super quick and easy card, perfect for Mother's Day.

Using the Spellbinders Marvelous Squares dies, I cut the image and mat and attached it to a card base along with a gold Wilton Doily. I edged all the cardstock with gold ink. I used a gold paint pen to go around the edges of the cup for some added shine.

Be sure to check out the Flower Soft Facebook Page and Blog for more examples of how to use these versatile toppers.

Flower Soft - Chalkboard Friends

This week the Flower Soft Design Team is featuring projects made using Kool Tak foils and glitters.

For my card, I chose the Mabel Lucie Attwell Pop-Up Card kit because it allowed me to make a card in no time. All you have to do is cut and fold and you have an instant card! The chalkboard technique is all the rage now, so I stamped my sentiment on to the card front and embossed with white and then stamped over it using a white pigment ink. I then edged the card with Kool Tak's 1/4" Premium Pro adhesive tape and used some of the red glitter to frame my image. So simple!

Be sure to check out the Flower Soft Blog and Facebook Page for more inspiration. Remember, the Kool Tak foils and glitters are 15% off until May 7, 2013 at the Flower Soft Store.

Flower Soft - Best Friends

This week Flower Soft is celebrating friendship and I thought this image was perfect. It's from one of the Mabel Lucie Attwell Card Kits (#8) and I cut the image with the Labels 1 die from Spellbinders. The sentiment is from My Favorite Things and I stamped it and then cut the words out.

Since these images are so vintage, I sponged the edges of all my paper with Tea Dye ink. I also added the cute little corner stamp from the one of the new Elizabeth Bell stamp line.

Be sure to visit the Flower Soft Facebook Page and Blog to see some other projects with a friendship theme.

For my card, I chose the Sailing digital stamp which I printed out and colored with Copics. I added some Ultra Fine White Flower Soft to the clouds for a little texture. The sentiment comes from the Coffee Time clear stamp set.

If you do chose the digital route, not only do you get the stamp, you also get frames, backing paper and the ability to create shaped cards. You also get the image as a Sepia or Black & White polaroid. There are so many options with these digital collections. The best part - this week the downloads are on sale at 50% off so you will get 27 files for only @3.99. Take a look at all the different images HERE.

Flower Soft - Little Birdie Hexi Box

I have a cute project for you today using Flower Soft's Little Birdie Toppers. They are Spellbinders compatible and come in cream and white. I used the cream here and cut it with the Hexagon Nestabilities. I also added a little butterfly from the Summer Die Cut Paper Flowers Collection.

To make the box, simply trace two of the largest Hexagon die and cut it out. Then cut a piece of cardstock to 2.5" x 6.75" and score at 2.25" from each end on the long side and .25" from each end on the short side. Cut the short score lines and adhere to the inside along three sides of the Hexagon using a strong tape. I used Scor-tape here.

I edged all of my cardstock with gold ink and also ran the ink along the top of the honeycomb embossing and the edges of my tissue paper.

Be sure to check out the Flower Soft Blog and Facebook Page for more inspiration using these toppers and your chance to win them!

Flower Soft - Line Art

I have a new product from Flower Soft to share with you today - the Line Art Vintage Embroidery kit.  It contains several die cut flowers and panels that coordinate with many of the Spellbinders dies.  I chose this panel which pairs nicely with Labels 8 and decided to use the Decorative Labels 8 as a base.

The flowers are all black and white so I decided to use my copics to add just a little color. I also added some glitter to the centers and used one of the die cut flowers as an embellishment.

Please be sure to check out the Flower Soft Blog to see more inspiration using this kit.
