Sparkle Pink Peace

It's time for the last challenge of 2014 for In the Pink and the Pink Ladies have some beautiful inspiration for you so be sure to head over the In the Pink Challenge Blog and see for yourself. This week's theme is Pink Christmas and usual, your card needs to be primarily pink.

For my card, I used two die cuts - a Christmas tree from Memory Box and the Peace One-Liner die from Papertrey. I cut them from pink cardstock and then sprayed them with adhesive and doused them (and me) in pink glitter. I then sealed the glitter with a matte acrylic sealer and then sprayed the backs with adhesive and applied to my cardstock. The gems were the finishing touch.

I hope you will make a project and join the challenge by adding it to the linky. Thanks for stopping by.

Entered into the following challenges:
Sparkle and Sprinkle - Glitter
Crafty Creations - Something to Die For
Addicted to CAS - Dots
The Paper Players - Black Tie

Products Used:
Paper - SS White and Lavender Moon
Memory Box Winterland Tree, PTI One-Liners, pink glitter, adhesive gems

Many Thanks

This week at In the Pink our challenge is to use die cuts and punches and of course, your card or project must be pink. I figured most of you will go the usual route so I decided to take the other road and use the negative space from my die cut.

I knew I wanted to make a CAS (clean and simple) card, so I arranged my image accordingly. I printed it and colored with Copics and then used my dies so I would be able to have my coordinating cardstock peek through when I mounted my image.

I added a little bling and called it a day.

Now it's your turn to dig out your dies and punches and make a pink card and add it to the linky on the Challenge Blog so I can visit and leave you some love.

I'm also entering this card into the Tiddly Inks Gratitude and Joyfulness Challenge.

Feathered Friends - In the Pink Challenge #57

It's time for another challenge at In the Pink and this week we are asking you to Keep it Simple.

Lately, I have been doing a ton of coloring with my Copics and I swear I can hear my stamps crying for me to use them so it felt good to get out paper and an ink pad or two instead and actually stamp, which is exactly what I did for this card. I remember when this set first came out I had to have it and it has sat, unused, since it arrived. Until now!

This was going to be a one-layer card front but I decided to pop up the sentiment for a little dimension and add a little bling. To be truly CAS, I should have left a little more white space but I think you will forgive me because I had such fun stamping. I know my stamps will.

Please join the challenge and make a CAS card of your own. The only rule is that your card needs to be pink. Then add your project to the Linky on the In the Pink Blog.

In the Pink Challenge #56 - Luscious Lace

Time for a new challenge at In the Pink. This week we are challenging you to use some of that luscious lace you've got in your stash. As usual, your card or project must be predominantly pink and this time you need to add a piece of lace.

For my card, I decided to go the shabby chic route. I used some retired CTMH patterned paper (one of my favorites that I have been hoarding) and a beautiful die cut from Heartfelt Creations. I added some pearls, ribbon and a large flower and sponged the edges with some gesso and pink ink.

Now it's your turn to show us your pink and lace. I look forward to seeing what you make.

In the Pink Challenge #55 - Dots or Stripes

This week at In the Pink the new challenge is to use either dots or stripes or both. Of course, the majority of your card has to be pink.

For my card, I used the adorable Abi from All Dressed Up. She is a freebie and is available on their website or Facebook page. I printed her and colored her with my Copic Markers and then cut her out with a Spellbinders die.

What looks like paper is actually Shape 'N Tape which is an adhesive backed paper that I purchased awhile ago and hoarded for no good reason. It was perfect for this challenge so I dug it out and used it! I added a little glitter to her tutu and some pearls and a flower I found in my stash.

Okay, what kind of striped or dotted paper are you hoarding? If it's pink, dig it out and join the challenge. I'd love to see your make.

I'm also entering this into the Anything Goes Challenge at Kit and Clowder and the Anything Goes Challenge at All Dressed Up.

Dance - In the Pink Fancy Fold

Welcome to another In the Pink challenge! This time around we are working with fancy folds and I chose to to a do a Z Fold.

The image is from Aurora Wings and I printed it and colored it with copics and then used the Out of the Box technique so her ballet shoe would extend beyond the cut. Since my paper was busy, I kept the card clean and simple and added a little bling.

I mounted the image onto a Spellbinders die and popped the image using a little foam.

Now it's your turn. Make a card or project using mostly pink and this time a fancy fold and upload it using the linky tool on the In the Pink blog. We would love to see what you make and if you need a little inspiration, please be sure to check out the lovely makes from the other DT members while you're there.

Make a Wish - In the Pink Bling it Up

It's time for a new In the Pink Challenge and this week we are going to Bling it Up! Of course your card needs to be pink, but this time you need to add a little glitter or bling, or both.

I used this adorable Tiddly Inks image called Fairy Fae Catches a Star. I colored her with my copics and then used my clear Wink of Stella glitter pen to add glitter to the stars and to parts of her wings. I also added some pink gems to her wings.

To get the glitter around the edges of my card, I cut a piece of white card stock a little smaller than my card base and ran some scor-tape along the edge and then burnished pink glitter on top. So simple, but it creates a great impact.

I love the way this turned out and I think it will make the perfect birthday card for someone special. Now it's time for you to create a pink project with some bling and link it up so I can leave you some love.

As it turns out, my card this week is perfect for another challenge so I am entering it into the Tiddly Inks' Fairy Fun Challenge. What a happy coincidence.

Butterfly Balloon in Pink

I am so excited! Today is my first post as a member of the Pink Ladies Design Team for the challenge blog In the Pink. Every two weeks there is a new challenge and the basic premise is that the main color for your card be the color pink and then the added twist. This week's challenge is Buttons and Bows so you need to use either or both.

I chose to use the adorable Butterfly Balloon image from PPinky Dolls and colored her with Copics. I cut the image with a Spellbinders die and while the image was still in the die, I used a Copic marker to trace along the inner edge and then softened it with the colorless blender.

I hope you will join us. I would love to see what you come up with for the challenge and of course I'll stop by and leave some love on your blog if you enter.
