Welcome Little Girl

TGIF everyone! Are you ready for the weekend?  I know I am and I hope I get some crafty time in the studio.

I actually got a chance to play along with a couple of the VSN challenges on SCS last weekend and one of them was to create a baby card. Since I already had this set on my work desk from an earlier card, I thought making another baby card would be so much fun.

For this one, I used some new Shap 'N Tape I ordered from Ellen Hutson recently.  It's like washi tape but comes on an adhesive sheet.  I just die cut the tag and the peeled and adhered to my panel. I need to order the other colors now because it's so fun to use. I used an impression plate on my base and die cut the square and the onsie.

This card also fit this week's SCS CAS Limited Supplies Challenge to create a monochromatic card. I hope you'll check out the challenges on SCS.  There's a ton of inspiration there every week.

Welcome Little One

I have a fun little card to share with you. I needed a card for a baby shower and there is a challenge on the Moxie Fab Blog (Make a Card with a Window), so I decided to combine the two.

I sponged the cloud background onto a piece of cardstock which I then mounted underneath my window using foam dimensionals.  I used a Martha Stewart grass punch on some green cardstock and then stamped the grass for some dimension.

I had recently purchased some mini clothespins from Impress Rubber Stamps and added a little glitter using some 1/8" scor-tape. I also added some texture by embossing my "window" with an impression plate.

Welcome Little One

Happy Monday!  Today's card is being entered into the CAS Challenge over at Splitcoast - White with Shades of Blue.

When I saw the challenge, I instantly thought baby card so I cut the frame from Framed Out #1 and inked the edges with Aqua Mist.  I cut the little onsie from Aqua Mist as well and thought the gingham paper was perfect.  I popped up the onsie to add a little more dimension and then rounded the bottom corners.  Of course, I had to add just a little bling.

I's going to be almost 70 degrees today so I am going to have lunch with a friend.  I hope it's getting warm where you are and you get to enjoy your Monday.
