A Tribute to Lydia

Over at SCS, a wonderful artists is being celebrated as the Featured Stamper this week.  If you spend anytime over there I am sure you "know" Lydia Fielder (a.k.a. Understandblue).  She is the Community Manager at Splitcoast, she is a wealth of information for both the newbie and the seasoned crafter and she always has an encouraging word.  In addition to being the recipient of such encouragement, I am also an admirer of her work.  If you aren't familiar with it, please check out her Gallery.  For details of the challenge, which is to CASE something from her gallery, you can check out the post HERE.

I knew exactly which card I wanted to recreate.  I had seen this card on her blog this summer and loved the way she used the embossing folder.  For my card, I changed the orientation to landscape and used a black mat.  I loved the stamp set she used but alas, did not own it so I went to my stamps and found these toppers for the picnic baskets in PTI's Vintage Picnic stamp set.  I stamped the daisies along the bottom of the card and colored in with copics.  I then added the sentiment from Up, Up & Away.  I loved the design so much that I made another using the tulips.

I can't think of a person more deserving of this honor and if you read this Lydia, thank you for always having a kind word and being so supportive.
