Yesterday, I learned that I am a semifinalist for the
Heartfelt Creations Design Team. I was thrilled because I really like their stamps and matching Spellbinders dies, especially the flowers. Now I am just waiting on some goodies so I can make a couple of projects to submit for the final round.

In the meantime, there is a
fun challenge over at Splitcoaststampers to use a No. 2 pencil to color in your image. I thought this would be fun to try. I had the perfect floral image from Heartfelt Creations to try this technique so I stamped the flower in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then got to work with my trusty pencil. This stamp makes it really easy to have your flower looking professionally colored in no time. When I was done, I thought the card needed just a little something so I added some bling to the center of my flower and called it a day. I love trying something new.

This card is just so elegant. The monochromatic theme gives it calm - and the flower details are peaceful. I really like it!
