Heartfelt Creations - Aster Get Well

Happy Wednesday!  Today I have a CAS project for you using one of the stamps from the new Delicate Aster Collection.

I have seen this technique a lot lately and thought I would give it a try.  I used a piece of copy paper to mask the strip in the middle and stamped my flowers and the colored them in with copics.  I then removed the strip and stamped my sentiment.  Using a black copic multiliner pen, I drew two lines and the embellished.  Super simple and easy and I really like the effect.

Please be sure to visit the Heartfelt Creations Blog to see what the other Design Team members have for you this week.  And while you're there, if you would like to continue to see me on the Heartfelt Creations DT, please take a moment to vote.  You will also be able to vote for new members as well.

This collection is teeming with birdies, butterflies and blooming peonies. Fun bird houses, mailboxes, and trellises dot the landscape of this new set. For my card I stamped the image from Twining Roses in white craft ink and then went over it with Perfect Pearls to give my background some shimmer.  The flower was made with the Posy Patch die and stamp set and then I went over some areas with my Sakura clear glitter pen.  I stamped the sentiment from Bird Haven and then added a little lace to the bottom.

Flower Soft Wire Works - Feel Better Soon

Today I have a Flower Soft Wire Works card for you using Fuchsia Flower Soft.  I have to admit that my daughter came up with the idea of using the wires as a flower and I went with it.  I love how she inspires me!

I went for clean and simple to show off the flower.  My base was embossed with the Linen impression plate from PTI but unfortunately, it's not showing up in this picture.  For the panel, I did second generation stamping of the text along the bottom and then with the same ink, stamped my sentiment.  I added matching ribbon along the top of the text and popped on my flower.  This was a really simple card to make.

To make the flower, I used a 1/2" circle punch and added a glue dot.  After I bent the wires into a petal shape, I attached them to the circle.  I then cut another 1/2" circle from matching cardstock, added another glue dot and placed it on top.  The wires are so easy to work with and bend very easily, making shaping them a breeze.
