I don't know about where you are, but here in the Northeast we have been slammed with snow and ice, causing a lot of snow days for the kids. Although it is very pretty, it makes it hard to get a lot of creative time with kids under foot.

Here's a valentine I managed to make with the You and Me digital stamp from Tiddly Inks. The image was colored with copics. I went pretty CAS with this one because I'm going to give it to my hubby and I didn't think he would appreciate a ton of glitter or bling.

I used an MFT die for the hearts down the side. The sentiment is from a retired CTMH set.

It's been awhile since I did a challenge, but this card fits this week's Tiddly Inks Love is in the Air Challenge. Are you making any Valentine's Day cards/projects?

On a Tear - Wedding Day

Here's my second card for this week's SCS Clean and Simple challenge to use tearing or distressing on your card.

I made the flower by embossing a couple pieces of white cardstock and then tearing them into graduated circles. I used some stickles along the torn edges and added some bling to the center. I also tore my second layer of cardstock and popped the pieces up using dimensionals after stamping my sentiment.

Be sure to check out the SCS gallery HERE to see some wonderful inspiration from the Alumni DT and the community members. You won't be disappointed.

Bridal Shower Moxie Fab Style

Dress/Roses - RV10, RV11, RV13, Y11, Y13, Y15; Hair - E21, E25, E29; Skin - E00, E11, E13, BV02; Lips R81, R85

My husband's niece had her wedding shower this past weekend and unfortunately, we were unable to attend. My daughter will be one of her bridesmaids and we have already ordered her dress which is a beautiful yellow. The accent color that the bride chose is fuchsia. I wanted to make her a card that incorporated her colors and this is what I came up with.

The image is a Saturated Canary digi called Marry Me which I printed and then colored with Copics. I used my Spellbinders dies to make an oval shaped card and added some flowers from my stash. The sentiment is one I found online which I added to the digi before I printed it. I also added a little glitter to her eyelids and the centers of the flowers in her bouquet with my clear glitter gel pen.

I love the way it turned out.

The color scheme of this card is perfect for the latest Tuesday Trigger Challenge over at Moxie Fab World so I am adding it to the linky. Here's the trigger pic:

Who knew that our bride-to-be was on target to be so trendy and Moxie Fab!?!

Products Used:
Stamp - Marry Me (Saturated Canary digi)
Paper - Lavender Moon, Lemon Tart

All the papers are from the My Mind's Eye Lost and Found Collection. The chipboard and pearls are from Want2Scrap and the other embellishments are mostly from my stash.

The video tutorial on how to make the base of this album can be found HERE. Be sure to check out Sallie's blog to see her amazing minis!

When I got this month's release, I feel in love with the Decorative Leafy Frame Die and I wanted to showcase a couple of ways to use it.

I saw this tutorial on foil drawings and shoe polish and wondered if it would work if I embossed a piece of cardstock so I gave it a try.  I covered a piece of cardstock with tin foil and then ran it through my Grand Calibur, embossing the die instead of cutting it. I then wiped some of my husband's black shoe polish over the embossed areas making sure to rub it into the crevices and then wiped off the excess with a paper towel. I decided to go simple with the focal point to show off the background, so I added a large rose to the center. I used some silver stickles along the edges of the petals to tie the whole thing together.

For my next card, I stayed with the foil covered cardstock, but this time I cut the die to create the frame. I colored the swan image with copics and then adhered it in the center behind the frame. I also adhered some patterned paper from the collection behind the frame as well. I then added a couple of flowers for embellishment and mounted the completed panel onto a card base of metallic cardstock. This would make a wonderful wedding or anniversary card.

For my last project, I cut the frame from a piece of vellum and framed another copic colored image from the collection. I edged the base cardstock and the vellum frame with 1/8" scor-tape and sprinkled glitter. The finishing touch was some bling I found at the local craft store.

This gorgeous frame also has a matching stamp set so you can stamp the flowers and leaves onto it, but I also wanted to show you a couple other ways to use not only this die, but some of the other intricate Heartfelt Creations dies.

I hope you will take the time to visit the Heartfelt Creations Blog to see what the other ladies did with this awesome collection. You will also be able to get the full set of instructions on how I created my projects this week.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day.

Heartfelt Creations - On Your Wedding Day

Happy July 4th!  Instead of something red, white and blue, today I am bringing you a CAS wedding card that was inspired by a beautiful birthday card I received from a good friend.

I took some pearlized paper and ran it through the cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots folder.  I embossed my  main image with filigree gold and used the same embossing powder along the edges of my layered cardstock and the edges of the die cut.  For more texture, I used a linen cardstock as my base and also as a die cut layer.

You can get the full instruction on the Heartfelt Creations Blog today and while you're there, be sure to check out the other gorgeous creations made by my fellow Design Team members.

I hope you all have a fun and safe 4th and please remember to take the time to think about all the men and women who serve in the military to preserve our freedom.
