Mother's Day Twisted Easel Card

The other night I couldn't sleep so I did what I always do - I pulled out my iPad and started surfing and came across this card.  Isn't it beautiful!  I knew I had to CASE it and since my daughter asked me to make a Mother's Day card for her Nana, I thought this was perfect.

I do not have the stamp she used to make her card so I had to improvise.  I have a PTI sheet music stamp and I knew I could create a similar background with stamp sets I already have and then I remembered the K&Co. stickers I had bought on clearance.  I was in business!  The stickers are dimensional and add a lot of depth to the card.

Since I do not sew, I added pearls to the corners of the card and to the triple bow I created using my Bow-Easy.  The ribbon is Martha Stewart seam binding, again from the dollar bin.

I decided to try the new twisted easel design since my Mother-in-Law likes to display her cards.  It's also this week's Technique Challenge at SCS.

We are having a gorgeous day today and I am off to run some errands and then work the book fair at my daughter's school.  I hope it's beautiful where you are too!
