You Rock

Today I have a card I made for one of my daughter's friends. They both perform in a band that plays at local venues and this weekend they celebrated her 13th birthday. She plays a mean guitar and is very into classic rock but she is also not a girly girl so pink and glitter was not going to work this time around.

I actually used various distress inks to make the background and then sprayed a little water over it for a mottled look. I then lightly stamped some sheet music and inked the edges. The focal image was made with clear embossing powder and then I sponged some more distress ink around the embossed image.

I was a bit worried that it would look masculine because of the colors I chose, but since I kept it on the lighter side, I think it works perfectly for a young lady.

  1. OMGosh, Cibele, she will love it! If you did the splat stuff on your image I envy you!! I need to master that and I get too scared of ruining everything. LOL Your image is gorgeous and the die cuts and sheet music are perfect for it!
