Comments close at midnight on Friday, February 28, 2014 and a random winner will be announced on Saturday, March 1st at noon.
This month I decided to continue my obsession with mini albums and created this cute little 4 x 4 accordion album.
I stamped the flowers onto pink cardstock, cut with the coordinating die and then sponged the edges of the petals with a darker pink ink. Once assembled, I added a little Diamond Stickles to the edges.. To create the metal effect on the lacy heart, I used some Silk Acrylics in pink, green and amber to paint over the heart. I used those same colors on the metal butterfly after I applied a base coat of gesso.
This uses the Vintage Floret patterned paper from Heartfelt Creations. I used some of the scraps I had left from a previous project to decorate my pages.
I added a little pocket to hold some punched tags on the front cover and there is also another little pocket built into the accordion fold which holds another tag. The book is held closed with magnets.
Don't forget to leave a comment here and on the other designers' blogs in order to be eligible for the $25 Heartfelt Creations gift certificate. Once again, you have until midnight Friday, February 28, 2014. You're next stop is my talented friend Caroline's Blog. You're going to love what she created!
EDITED TO ADD: I posted a video on how I made the base of this mini album and it can be found on my YouTube Channel HERE.
