Stars & Stripes Birthday

One of my daughter's best friends and I are birthday buddies.  We are both firecracker babies born on the 4th!  Although we celebrated on Wednesday, her official party is today so I made this card for my daughter to give her.  You'll recognize the layout as the same as the card I made for her other friend.

I stamped the background with Impression Obsession's Distressed Corduroy and Canvas Cover-a-Card stamps onto Kraft cardstock and then added a little patterned paper from Jillibean.  I cut some of the stars from a scor-tape adhesive sheet and attached them to cardstock and added glitter.  I cut strips from a plastic box that one of my stamp sets came in and attached the stars to them.  The ribbon was threaded through the slider mechanism and doesn't interfere with how it works.  Once again, I included a gift card.

I am so happy with how this turned out and I'm pretty sure the birthday girl is going to like it.
