SNSS Butterfly Thank You

This is the card I entered into the SNSS July Release CAS challenge on Splitcoast.  The challenge was to create a one-layer card so I thought I would do a little masking and sponging.

I bought this stamp set awhile ago but hadn't gotten the chance to ink it up.  I made a mask with copy paper using one of the Spellbinders Labels die, sponged Tea Dye ink inside along the edges and then stamped the flourish.  I colored the wings with a glitter pen and then added a couple of gems here and there.  I also went along the edges of the image with a copic marker to give it a little dimension.

There is still time to play along with this and the other release challenges!

Products Used:
Stamp Set - SNSS Butterfly Flourish
Paper - PTI Rustic Cream
Ink - Versafine Vintage Sepia; Tea Dye Duo
Nestabilities, Sakura clear glitter gel pen, adhesive gems
Copic marker W1

  2. Gorgeous!! What a neat idea to use a die mask for the shape on a one-layer card! I've done it with the shapeabilites like butterflies, etc, but don't know why I never thought of it with the basic dies. Thanks for sharing!!
