Heartfelt Creations - Blue Bird of Happiness

Today I am bringing you a card from the newest Heartfelt Creations collection - Garden Romance.

I used a new toy that I acquired last weekend at a stamp show.  It's a little cloud template and I used it to make my background.  I also tried my hand at coloring with pencils and gamsol (a first for me).  I am very pleased at the effect I was able to achieve with my pencils.  I added a little glitter to the roses and popped up the blue bird.  To create  the glitter border, I used 1/8" scor-tape along the edges of my card base and then added glitter.

I hope you will take a look at the Heartfelt Creations blog to see some more wonderful inspiration.

One more thing before I go. By now some of you may have heard that the crafting community is minus a wonderful and talented member.  Lisa Lynne Wright was a member of our Design Team family and she passed very suddenly last week and I would like to dedicate this card to her.  She was a very creative and encouraging person and I feel honored to have served on the same design team with her for the past year.  Her work and her life is an inspiration and she will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with her family as they try to get through this tough time.  I would like to think that she has found her happiness.
