Flower Soft Step it Up - The Kiss

This week we are stepping it up with one of the new card kits from Flower Soft.  This sweet image is from the Mabel Lucie Atwell 3D card kit.  Aren't they just so adorable?  The kit contains everything you need to make easy, adorable 3D cards, including the envelopes and the foam dimensionals but today I wanted to show you what you can do to step it up a little.

Since the images look vintage to me, I decided to go in that direction for my stepped-up card.  I chose a background paper from a Melissa Frances paper pack; inked and distressed the edges using the CTMH Edge Distresser.  I cut my image using a nestabilities die and stamped over the entire image with my Impression Obsession Cover-a-Card Scratches stamp and then inked it with the Tea Dye Duo inks to give it that aged appearance.  I added some Prima roses from my stash and some seam binding to finish it off.

Wouldn't this make a fabulous Valentine card?

Now your challenge is to take any card found on one of the Design Team blogs or on the Flowersoft Blog and "step it up".  You will need to link to the original card and show your stepped up creation. If you upload your creation to SCS, please use the keyword FSC43 and flowersoft so we will be able to find you and then add the link to your card to the comments section on the Flower Soft Blog.  The prize for his challenge is the Mabel Lucie Attwell Card Kit.
