PTI Inspiration Blog Hop

I didn't think I would get the chance to play along today, but the rain put the kibosh on our plans to go to the pool. My daughter got invited to the movies instead, leaving me some welcome time in the studio.

The inspiration photo for this month's PTI Blog Hop had me spinning in a ton of different directions, but in the end, I decided to keep it super clean and simple. The elements I chose to focus on where the jar and the flowers along with some of the colors. After I stamped my image, I used copics to color in a portion of the leaves and flowers. This gives it an almost watercolor effect and keeps everything light and airy like the photo.

The jar die was an obvious choice for me. I used a copic marker to shade around the edges and then popped it up to give the card a little dimension. I'm really pleased with how this looks. It makes me happy on this rainy day.
