A Sad Month

October was a very sad month.  It seems as though every time I turned around a friend or neighbor lost someone near and dear to them.  Since the loss of my own mother nearly two years ago, I usually go to the Hallmark store and purchase sympathy cards because I find it too hard to make them.  This time, however, I decided to give it a try.  Here is a simple one I came up with and it uses the main image from PTI's Year of Flowers: Lily of the Valley stamped in Smokey Shadow ink on white cardstock.  I then used chalk to lightly color in the image and adhered it onto a Smokey Shadow card base.  I accented with grey adhesive pearls.  Unfortunately, the pictured got a little washed out but you get the idea.

I hope today brings you much happiness.  Enjoy!

  1. Cibele,

It's just beautiful - softness is very appropriate. I'm glad you were able to make this card, it's perfect and inspiring. A treasure.

    Hugs!
