Simple Valentine

If you are like me, you have tons of "negatives" left over from using your nestabilities dies.  I don't know about you, but I just can't let paper go to waste so I decided to use one of my heart negatives as a stencil and made two cards which I want to show you today.  Both cards are essentially the same; I just used differnt ink colors and different emebellishments.  For both cards, I centered my "stencil" over my card and held it in place with some removable adhesive and used the background stamp from  PTI's Background Basics: Hearts stamp set to stamp inside the heart.  When I lifted the "stencil" it left this beautiful word heart on my card.

I added a little foil heart and a metal sentiment to the first card which was stamped in Pure Poppy ink and Viola! done.

For this second card I used Hibuscus ink and a the scrap of a scallop heart I had cut for a previous project.
This masking technique can be done with any of your nestabilities or other cut out shapes so I have started to stash these in a ziploc bag for future use.  Later this week I will have another card using a nestabilities scrap as a mask so I hope you'll stop back.
