The Sky is the Limit

Happy Monday morning to you all!  I hope you had a great weekend.  Today finds my daughter and I headed to a local horse show to support riders from our barn.  She isn't competing today but she really wanted to be there for her friends.

I had a busy weekend catching up on some crafting in my studio.  This card is one of the results.  I had wanted to enter it in this week's OLW (to create a one layer card with clouds) challenge but technically, with the addition of the popped up clouds, I don't think it qualifies as one layer anymore.  Regardless, this is where I got the inspiration.  The good news is that it fits the Technique Lovers challenge this week over at Splitcoast which was to use reverse masking.

To make this card, I cut out the center of a piece of copy paper with a nestabilities die and then used removable adhesive to tack it down on my card.  I then used a couple of cloud shapes to sponge the clouds into the open area.  Then I stamped the balloon and colored it in with copics.   I just couldn't resist popping up a couple of clouds when I was done.  The sentiment makes it an all purpose card or one that can easily be used for graduation. It's really a very simple card but has a neat effect.

I hope you'll give this technique a try.
