Rainbows and Sunshine

In case you haven't already figured it out, PTI is one of my favorite stamp companies and every month they run a blog hop but I never seem to find the time to join in or I completely forget about it until I read the post the day after.  For once, I am on time!

This month was an inspiration challenge and here is the picture:

Look at all that lovely color!  It reminded me a little of a rainbow and I knew just what I wanted to do.

My first step was to cut a strip of white cardstock and then, using direct to paper, I swiped a little Lemon Tart, Melon Berry, Raspberry Fizz and Hawaiin Shores across it.  I wanted to mimic the cubbies at the bottom of the picture so I cut a piece of  white cardstock with the Take Three die.  I found the perfect sentiment but then I needed a little sunshine.

Using the rock and roll method, I stamped the sun from Up, Up and Away using Summer Sunrise and Terra Cota inks.  To add a little sparkle I used a Copic Spica glitter pen.  I then popped the whole panel using dimensionals.

I really like the way this card came out.  It makes me happy and I hope it brightens your day too!
